So many people are visiting the new Harry Potter-themed attraction at Universal Orlando that the park is advising guests to avoid it until later in the day.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened last month. Officials say more than a half-million rides have been taken already on its headline attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
To control the large crowds, Universal is issuing paper tickets to keep people from cutting in line. Liquor sales have been halted inside the Hog's Head tavern to speed up service. Extra outdoor merchandise and drink carts have been set up to ease congestion inside the shops.
Park officials say a large crownd is a good sign. Attendance had slumped 23 percent over the last five years to 9.3 million visitors last year.
