Snooki gets a court date as more arrest details creep out
After getting arrested last Friday (July 30), "Jersey Shore's" Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will have her day in court to face charges of disorderly conduct.
According to CNN, Snooki will make her first appearance in municipal court on August 18 at 9:00 a.m. ET.
The charge doesn't carry any jail time, but she can be fined anywhere between $250 and $1,000.
Seaside Heights police chief, Thomas Boyd, says Snooki was arrested on the beach Friday at 3:30 p.m. and released roughly a few hours later with a court summons.
A few more details surrounding Snooki's arrest have surfaced over the weekend. According to reports, the police were notified after the guidette was seen falling over people and being her typically sweet self (read: a nuisance) at the Jersey's Fremont Avenue Beach. The police came not to arrest Snooki, but to escort her off the beach.
When she acted the fool as the police tried to escort her from the beach, she was then charged with disorderly conduct. Observers say she appeared intoxicated when she was arrested.
The arrest came a day after the series premiere scored record ratings with more than 5-million viewers tuning in to the Thursday broadcast on MTV.
