Latest Scoops - Lindsay Lohan on DWTS

To waltz or not to waltz... According to RadarOnline.com, Lindsay Lohan is currently in secret talks with 'Dancing With the Stars' to join next season's cast.

"Lindsay has been talking with the DWTS people," a source close to the actress exclusively told RadarOnline.com. "She is definitely interested and considering being on the show."

The website reports the 'Mean Girls' actress is still in treatment and her team at Betty Ford fully supports the idea.

"Lindsay's treatment team thinks 'Dancing With the Stars' would be a perfect transition back to work for her. She would have a set schedule everyday, would be occupied and would be very productive. Lindsay wanted their approval before proceeding in talks with the producers and she got it," said the source.

The producers of the dance competition show have wanted Lohan to star for a while. "'Dancing with the Stars' producers have had Lindsay on their wish list of cast mates for a very long time," a source told RadarOnline.com.

But GossipCop.com is reporting Lohan isn't anywhere near starring on the show. In fact, her rep told the website, "Lindsay Lohan is not doing 'Dancing with the Stars.' The story is false."

Only time will tell whether or not we'll see Lohan dancing around the PR-friendly stage in a sparkly, sequined dress!

Bristol Palin Makes Gay Joke to Margaret Cho

It appears that once again the Palin family is having trouble discerning between what is and is not acceptable to say on Facebook. This time it is Bristol Palin who in an open letter to her Dancing With the Stars cast mate Margaret Cho explained that if the comedian and actress could just see how common sense her family’s conservative values were she would, “embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert.” Margaret is an open bisexual while KD and Amy Ray and Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls are open lesbians.

Also in the letter is Bristol’s response to what she claims is false information dispensed by Margaret. While Margaret said Sarah Palin forced her daughter to go on the show to gain media coverage and make-up for ruining the 2008 election for her, Bristol said none of these facts were true. She claims she was approached herself and her parents played no role in forcing her on the program. She also stated, “Anyone who watched the show could tell I performed better, and I felt better about myself, when they were in the audience. I wanted to make them both proud, but politics had nothing to do with it. Loving my parents had everything to do with it.”

As for her gay quip, while not as harsh as sister Willow’s decidedly homophobic rant in defense of her mom, it does seem to be a bit of a dig at bisexual Margaret, who is in fact currently married to a man.

Michael Lohan: Lindsay Would Win DWTS

"In my mind, she would win," Lindsay's estranged father tells E! News during a sit-down interview.

"My daughter is on the top of her game. She has turned her life around. I'm proud of her."

Bristol Palin Strikes Back at Keith Olbermann

Bristol Palin struck back at Keith Olbermann after the MSNBC host dubbed her the "Worst Person In The World" for her role as a spokesperson for abstinence with the Candies Foundation.

On his Monday show, Olbermann mocked the selection of Palin as a role model for abstinence -- and her ad promoting it with The Situation -- given her status as one of the country's most famous teen mothers.

"That's like saying George Bush kept us safe, except for that 9/11 thing!" he said.

On Thursday, Palin posted a long reply to Olbermann on her Facebook page:

Accusing me of hypocrisy is by now, an old canard. What Mr. Olbermann lacks in originality he makes up for with insincere incredulity. Mr. Olbermann fails to understand that in order to have credibility as a spokesperson, it sometimes takes a person who has made mistakes. Parents warn their children about the mistakes they made so they are not repeated. Former gang members travel to schools to educate teenagers about the risks of gang life. Recovered addicts lecture to others about the risks of alcohol and drug abuse. And yes, a teen mother talks about the benefits of preventing teen pregnancy. I have never claimed to be perfect. If that makes me the "worst person in the world" to Mr. Olbermann, then I must apologize for not being absolutely faultless like he undoubtedly must be. To Mr. Olbermann let me say this: you can attack me all you want. But you will not stop me from getting my message out about teen pregnancy prevention. And one day, if you ever have a daughter, you may change your mind about me.

Olbermann did not reply directly to Palin, but he did respond to someone on Twitter, who said Palin had shown "the class and kindness Keith will never know."

"So what if she's leading to more teenage pregnancies by pushing abstinence-only, which DOES... NOT... WORK," Olbermann shot back.

Jennifer Grey: Dancing Curse Strikes Again!

After suffering a ruptured disc in her lower back last week before her mirror-ball coronation, the Dirty Dancing star is meeting with her doctor to talk about surgically repairing the injury.

"She's seeing the doctor today for a consultation, but no surgery [is scheduled] at this time," her rep tells E! News.

So how does Grey herself feel?

"She's seeing the doctor today for a consultation, but no surgery [is scheduled] at this time," her rep tells E! News.

The 50-year-old Grey did however tell Access Hollywood that she expects to go under the knife in the next couple of weeks.

"It's just going be like a little surgery where they take out the ruptured disc thing, and you know, it won't be a big deal," said the actress. "Compared to the other surgeries I had on my neck, my doctor says it won't be a big deal. I'll be home that night."

Despite her initial belief that the slipped disc would prevent her from competing on the finale, Grey soldiered on through her last dances to win DWTS's 11th season.

"I got to tell you, the win and the experience of doing—more the experience of doing Dancing With the Stars—already, like I don't even remember the pain I was in a week ago," she said. "I just have some discomfort in [my] back that needs to be taken care of. OK, it's a little more than discomfort."

But, she adds, the pain is not as bad as the chronic neck problems she's endured for the past two decades following a 1987 car accident. Nor is it nearly as frightening as the cancer scare she had last December. During a routine physical before starting the hit ABC dance contest, DWTS docs discovered she had a cancerous tumor in her thyroid, which has since been removed.

Dancing With The "Stars" Wants Lindsay Lohan

Despite parting ways with the Linda Lovelace lead role in the upcoming film Inferno, Lindsay Lohan has plenty of career options on the horizon. RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Dancing with the Stars has been eyeing the Mean Girls "actress" as a potential addition for the next season.

"Dancing with the Stars producers have had Lindsay on their wish list of castmates for a very long time,” a source with knowledge of the situation told RadarOnline.com. When asked about the news, a rep for the show said they do not comment on casting.

Though Lohan’s dubious history has been a sticking point for the show in the past, her current stay at the Betty Ford Center is producing positive results which have caught people’s attention.

“The producers were concerned about her erratic behavior, but they are taking another look at asking her to come on for the next season because she is doing so well at her sober living facility,” the source added. “The producers are aware that she would be available because she isn't going to be filming Inferno."

The source added that the ABC show would showcase Lindsay’s lesser known talents: “The girl can dance. Lindsay is wicked talented.”

Despite the allure of the hit reality show, the source stressed that Lindsay’s future will depend on what is best for her ongoing sobriety. “Lindsay won't be making any decisions about what she chooses for her next project without consulting first with her treatment team,” the source said.

“This wasn't mandated by the court, her advisors or medical team, but Lindsay has taken that step herself, which is a very, very positive sign."

One added bonus of the high-profile gig is the money. “It pays very well. Lindsay has very limited income coming in and this could help get her out of the red," the source said.

Bristol Palin's New Gig after 'DWTS'

Bristol Palin reportedly walked away from last season with over $345,000 from the show according to PopEater. Now that her dancing days are over (at least we all hope they're over), she's also earning a supposed $35,000 per speaking gig (really though... who is paying her to speak?).

Rumor has it Bristol has taken a cue from her own famous mama and from the looks of it, the Bristol brand isn't slowing down any time soon, however much people may want it to.

Palin family friends are dishing dirt about some major deals in the works for Bristol including a multi-million dollar offer to appear on another reality show, as well as a book deal and a clothing spokesperson opportunity.

Since she's technically not a teen anymore, is MTV's "Teen Mom" out of the question for Bristol? We can't imagine what "Bristol Palin's Alaska," might entail, but it sure sounds promising. Or how about "Bristol of Love," where young suitors compete not only in romantic challenges to win Bristols heart, but also in baby-daddy and political media challenges? All while promising abstinence until marriage of course. Now that one, we could definitely get behind.

'DWTS' Producers Relieved That Bristol Didn't Win

According to Popeater,'Dancing With The Stars' producers are thrilled Bristol Palin didn't win in last night's finale, fearing her triumph would have made it next to impossible to get celebrities to sign up for next season's competition.

"Hollywood is famously liberal, and to have the daughter of a Tea Party candidate win would have meant that booking the show would have been impossible," a casting director tells Rob Shuter. "Now that Jennifer Grey has won, so many other stars will want to be part of the show and try to get their hands on the mirror ball trophy. If Bristol had won, the show would have been dead."

It's true the 'Dancing' winners are all proud to be part of an elite club, which includes Kelly Monaco, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brooke Burke, Shawn Johnson and Donny Osmond -- all of whom are much happier to welcome Jennifer into the club than Bristol. (As if Bristol winning would take away from their previous achievements!)

"If Bristol had won it would have made the entire show a joke," an ABC insider tells Rob Shuter. "Now that Jennifer is the winner, the producers are relieved and the show's dignity has been restored."
