In a recent interview, Matt Bellamy of MUSE discusses the band's next album:
"I think maybe the next album we would like to try to do something more personal and more intimate sounding. You know, I would like to try and find something more down to earth in sound. I think we've been pushing very much musically very much towards large scale, live performances, and I think that's started to have a big influence on our studio work, so I think for the next album it might be a good time to kind of draw back from that and try to rediscover ourselves, a more intimate side of music."
